ADDISYN MERRICK

Addisyn Merrick attended Lee’s Summit North High School in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. She was named the Missouri Class 4 Defender of the Year, Missouri Western Region Defensive Player of the Year, and Conference Defender of the Year in 2015. After high school Addisyn enrolled at the University of Kansas where she received numerous accolades on and off the field, including the Big 12 Defender of the Year and the Academic All-Big 12 Second Team.

Addisyn was originally drafted with the 28th overall pick by the North Carolina Courage in the 2020 NWSL Draft. In the 2020 NWSL Expansion Draft, Addisyn was selected by Racing Louisville FC and played in three straight games before suffering an ankle injury that ended her season.

Off the pitch, Addisyn is passionate about supporting food security and the elimination of food deserts. She served as a Community Ambassador for Racing Louisville FC and previously organized an event with her teammates to unpack and organize food items at a Dare to Care food distribution center in Louisville, Kentucky.
